Her journey began in modern rehabilitative medicine, where she worked extensively with neuro-rehab, orthopedic, and geriatric care. Yet, her deeper quest for understanding human wellness led her beyond conventional therapy — into India’s ancient systems of yoga, naturopathy, and energy sciences.
Today, her approach integrates physiotherapy, Vinyasa Yoga, classical yoga (Hatha & Ashtanga lineages), pranic energy work, Vaasi kriyas, mindfulness, and yogic lifestyle principles — creating a model of care that addresses chronic pain, stress disorders, hormonal imbalances, emotional burnout, and lifestyle-rooted illnesses.
Dr. Gomathi is among the few professionals in India certified by the Ministry of AYUSH as a Yoga Teacher, Evaluator, and Therapist (YCB Levels 3 & 6). Her learning is steeped in yogic scriptures like the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, and Hatha Yoga Pradipika, as well as Sanskrit chanting and meditative practices.
